Day Six: To Waterfound Bay 7/24/2004
From the top of Durant Lake we paddled to the outflow in anticipation of catching walleye or grayling for lunch. In spite of our efforts we were unsuccessful in three different locations. With the high water and late thaw, the places were one might normally expect to find fish were unproductive. We made camp in the evening on Waterfound Bay where the Waterfound river joins the Fond du Lac River. There was plenty of fresh bear sign and although we were half expecting company there was no late evening/early morning excitement. We spent the evening around a comfortable campfire and enjoyed a magnificent sunset.
