This paddling adventure was one we talked about doing for years but never seemd to pull things together. Finally, there we were, standing on the shore of Waterbury Lake waving at black flies, and looking at the ice floating around the lake. Poor Chris had to watch his spanky new truck drive away on a boulder strewn bush trail hoping it would make it back without incident. Spirits were up along with the wind. 12 days in the bush, here we come!
